Back story - This was one of the very first Elin Hilderbrand books I ever read! Last year, I embarked on the Summer of Elin - a quest to read all of the queen's books. I had decided that when I got to the end, I would go back and reread Blue Bistro. Truth be told, I remembered loving this book, but didn't remember much of the story. I was worried I wouldn't love it as much as I thought I did. I ended up rereading early because I was attending Elin’s "The Hotel Nantucket" signing. The reread was just as wonderful as I remembered!

While I am a huge Elin fan and love all of her books, Blue Bistro is my favorite! It's got everything you need - our beloved Nantucket setting, love, drama, family dynamics - all centered around a bomb ass restaurant. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to drive to Nantucket to experience it all for myself.

As with many of Elin's books, these characters do pop up again in other stories. You don't *need* to read this before embarking on any of her other ones (especially her latest release), but it will enhance that story as well.

If you haven’t picked up one of Elin’s books yet, nows the time!! She is the Queen of the Beach Read after all!
